ViewAr – Whitney Museum Guided Tour App

Whitney Museum Guided Tour App is a UX/UI case study, design and prototype of a guided tour app that uses both Augmented Reality (AR) and a non-AR mode to enhance the museum experience for visitors to the Whitney Museum’s 7th floor, which currently features selections from the Whitney’s collection from 1900-1960.

The AR design and functionality will enable the user to interact with selected works of art through points-of-interest within the artwork activated by a QR code on the wall text. When clicked, these points-of-interest bring up information about the artwork. I design the UI for a fully featured non-AR mode, which will allow the user to see the museum’s floor plan on their phone.
